The Maryborough Martial Arts team enjoyed an excellent medal haul at the Victorian State Championships, held recently in Melbourne.

Six months of preparation went into the Poomsae Black Belt championships, which was held on Sunday, May 28, with many members participating in their first tournament.

However, all members came home with great success, and have therefore qualified for the Australian Taekwondo national championships in Perth in October.

Three gold, four silver and a bronze medal were won by the team.
