With local teams currently playing in the Castlemaine and District Cricket Association, Coon, Purcell and Nalder were all selected to play in last week’s competition.

The team went undefeated on their way to the final against the Ballarat Cricket Association, where they won by eight wickets.

The trio had multiple stand out performances throughout the competition, highlighted by Coon’s 114 not out off 118 balls in their opening fixture against Gisborne Green on Tuesday.

Purcell grabbed figures of 3/14 off seven overs in the same match on his way to six wickets for the competition, while Nalder grabbed 3/20 off eight overs in the final against Ballarat to claim six wickets of his own.

Their performances were good enough for both Purcell and Nalder to finish in the top five for most wickets in the competition.
