Maryborough’s Little Athletics are set to receive a boost for the 2023/24 season thanks to Coles.

The club was one of 40 national recipients of the Coles Little Athletics Community Fund, which has provided a total of $2.4 million of grants across the last five years, which has seen them receive $4800.

The grant will help the club purchase a line marker, trolleys, vortexes and measuring sticks for future use.

Maryborough Little Athletics president David Nicholson said it was exciting for the club.

“The new equipment will help our volunteers with their responsibilities and make carrying and setting up equipment much easier,” he said.

“We also share our equipment, facilities and volunteers to help run and facilitate five separate school sports carnivals so the grant will have benefits for the wider community as well.”
