Harcourt have continued on their undefeated way when they toppled Avoca by a very comfortable 80 points.
It was a very tough first half as the Bulldogs pressured the Lions into many mistakes and there was only a 17-point difference at half time.
After having a spell at half time, the Lions roared into play in the third term to show the Bulldogs what they are really like as they had 16 shots on goal to just two for the home team.
As a result, the game was well and truly over at three-quarter-time as the Lions led by 51 points at the final change.
The Lions continued to take charge to extend the margin, and are now just one game away from an unbeaten home and away season, although they do have an early finals preview when they play Natte Bealiba next week. Win that, and they’ll be playing the Swans two weeks in succession.
Alex Code led the way up forward with four goals for the Lions and they named Kaleb McBride, Jeffrey McMurtrie, Bronson Martin, Darby Semmens, Code, and Thomas Walters in their best players.
Avoca named Scott Cawthan, Shaun Cudmore, Sean Moyle, Cameron Antonio, Tyson Gray, and Byron Wynd in their best.
