Lexton crept ever-so-slightly towards the top four thanks to a 36-goal victory over Talbot.

The Tigers had all the answers to any questions Talbot were asking throughout the day.

Twelve goals to six in the first quarter allowed the Tigers to take a good lead going into the first break, before they went out and extended the lead with a 15-goal to nine second term to establish a 12-goal lead at the main break.

The third quarter was a productive one for the Tigers, scoring 18 goals to nine to improve the lead past 20 goals, before having their best quarter of the day in the last quarter by scoring 21 goals to six to finish off strong winners.

As a result, Lexton now moves to fifth, sitting just six percent off Navarre in fourth.

Rachel Phelan led the way with 39 goals for Lexton, while Leesa Donhardt scored 27 goals.

For Talbot, Tia Skelton and Dom Roche scored 15 goals apiece.
