Lexton best Maldon by 56 points at home
Lexton have won their second game on the trot, taking a commandeering 56-point win over Maldon on the weekend.

Lexton pounced on the visiting side on Saturday, limiting their scoring opportunities and offering strong defence to hamper Maldon’s attempts at goal.
It was a hard four quarters of netball for Maldon that all began from the start of play, scoring only three goals in the first quarter compared to Lexton’s 15.
While Maldon were able to score one more goal in the second than the first, Lexton on the other hand doubled their score — with the half time scores reading 30-7.
It was a home side domination that continued into the second half, with Lexton’s pairing of Celeste Lean and Anna Parry, as well as club veteran Leesa Donhardt taking countless shots under the ring to blow the score out to 52-10 by the end of the third.
There was no reprieve in the final quarter for Maldon, who fought hard to garner a further three goals, largely through the efforts of Alice McManus, but in the end it was Lexton’s match from the get go, scoring 69-13 at the conclusion of play.
Maldon fought hard all day and did well to convert scoring attempts under immense pressure, with the likes of McManus scoring five goals from nine shots.
