Carisbrook gave as good as they got on Sunday, as they went down to East Point by 62 points.
However, it was a major improvement on their previous matchup with the club, which had seen them lose by 121 points earlier in the season.
East Point got off to the better start on Sunday, kicking the opening three goals of the game to open up an 18-point lead at the first break.
Carisbrook had an encouraging start to the second quarter, kicking the first two goals to reduce the margin to seven points. But East Point steadied and kicked the next three goals to extend their lead to 28 at the main break.
The Lady Redbacks continued to fight hard and defended well, but East Point were just a little bit better, and added another three goals to extend their lead to 47 by the final change.
Another two goals in the last quarter saw East Point break a 10-goal margin.
Nevertheless, it was a very encouraging outing for the Lady Redbacks, who continue to improve in every outing.
Anika Munn, Tara Curtis, Olivia Butler, Julianne Baldock, Piper Burge and Jade Cameron were the Lady Redbacks’ best players for the afternoon.
The Lady Redbacks will now look to attack with confidence when they play Bacchus Marsh on Sunday at Maddingley Park.
