Trentham recorded a 238-point win over Campbells Creek, with star goalkicker Jake Keogh in the thick of everything.

Last year’s centurion has played further up the ground to start the season, but relished the opportunity to get on the scoreboard on Saturday, finishing with 11 goals to vault to second on the goalkicking charts.

A nine-goal to nil first quarter gave Trentham a 57-point advantage at the first break, and were able to lead by 103 points at the main break thanks to a further nine goals in the second, while Campbells Creek added their only goal of the day.

It was the third quarter where the Saints really put the foot down, kicking 12 goals to no score to lead by 180 at the final break, before kicking a further nine goals in the last to finish as big winners.

Apart from Keogh, Alister Ferrier also had a good afternoon, kicking six goals, while Samuel Winnard kicked a further five, showcasing the options Clive Raak can call upon in front of goal.

Joel Cowan, Nathan Rodgers, Mark Strickland, Harrison Knight and Zach Gervasoni were also named in the best players for the afternoon.

While it was a tough afternoon for Campbells Creek, they still had their triers, with Joel Wootton, Harley Melrose, Mitch Stevens, Jyanni Pollard, Max Stewart and Luke Bennett named in the best players.
