Step back in style at the Bull and Mouth
1 min read

Once again Bull and Mouth proprietors Jo and Mick Reid have highlighted the unique heritage of their early-1900s building by successfully combining old world charm with a contemporary space in their recently opened hospitality offering – a wine and cocktail bar.

Jo said the bar has been really popular with locals and visitors.

“We felt the hotel really needed a nice bar where people can sit, enjoy a drink and relax,” she said.

“It is something a bit different in the town. People are popping in for pre-dinner drinks, catching up with friends and after-work gatherings. We can also cater for functions.”

As well as the standard drinks, the cocktail bar offers local wines, craft beer and an extensive cocktail menu.

The new wine and cocktail bar is the ideal complement to the Reid’s successful accommodation and restaurant business, all run from the same iconic building.

The external grandeur of the Bull and Mouth is reflected in the décor and level of service guests receive. The accommodation includes 12 rooms offering from king single to deluxe king, with each room individually styled. The fully-licensed café/restaurant serves breakfast and lunch from Sunday to Wednesday and breakfast, lunch and dinner Thursday to Saturday.

Located in the heart of Maryborough, the Bull and Mouth Hotel is architecturally significant as an exceptionally fine early-20th century building. Today it forms an important element in the Maryborough streetscape
