Talbot posted their third win in succession when they toppled the Navarre Grasshoppers by 49 points at Talbot on Saturday.

The victory was set up with a dominant opening term where the Hawks kicked four goals to one.

Jude McGuire was again racking up possessions throughout the game for Talbot as was Luke Kemp and Jayson Atkins to set up for the Hawks forwards to take advantage.

Navarre defender Jayden Fowkes was repelling many of Talbot’s forward moves as was Will Marshman, but the ball was constantly in Talbot’s scoring zone.

Navarre hit back in the third term to reduce the lead to just 19 points at three-quarter-time, but this is where the challenge ended as Talbot kicked away with a five-goal final quarter while holding Navarre to just one behind.

The Hawks were very happy to post a victory in front of their club sponsors who enjoyed the win in the sponsors marquee. It was a great victory for all of the Hawks supporters that has seen them move into the top eight.

The Hawks better players were Kemp, Trent Barass, Atkins, McGuire, Rhys Egan, and Brad Dunbar, who finished with four goals.

Navarre named Sam Rickard, Fowkes and Marshman as their better players, along with Dante Lorusso, Jacob Martin, and Daniel Reading.
