CAMPBELLS CREEK (37) def by HARCOURT (56)
Harcourt held out a third-quarter Campbells Creek charge to keep their top eight chances intact, scoring a 19-goal victory.
The Lions made a fast start, scoring 16 goals in the first term, while holding Creek to six to give themselves a 10-goal lead after the first change.
In a high-octane second term, the Lions added 16 goals, while Creek scored 13 to give themselves an outside chance, keeping the margin at 13 goals at the main break.
In the third term, it was all Creek, scoring 12 goals while holding Harcourt to nine to reduce the margin to 10 goals, all the while having the momentum.
But Harcourt took the advantage back, scoring 15 goals to Creek’s six in the final term to eventually record their fifth win of the season.
Kate Blake scored 44 goals for the victors, while Lillie Wrigley scored 19 goals for Campbells Creek to lead the way, with Jordan Bagley adding another 18.
