HARCOURT 17.10 (112) def LEXTON 5.7 (37)

Harcourt showed Lexton the way on Saturday as they soundly defeated the Tigers by 75 points to remain undefeated for the season.

The victory was set up with a five-goal opening quarter while holding Lexton to just one goal.

Another five goal second quarter had the Lions dominating the scoreboard to lead by 44 points at half time.

It was a much more competitive third term, but it was also a dour struggle with only three goals for the term, with two to the Lions and one to the Tigers.

The game was well and truly in the reigning premiers’ keeping at three-quarter-time and the Lions finished the game strongly as they reproduced the first quarter, scoring five goals to one.

Harcourt’s best was Jonte O’Neil, Edward Coulthard, Baxter Gurd, who finished with five goals, Jed Rodda, Kaleb McBride, and Mark Noonan.

The Tigers named Jaykeb Lench, Jack Peacock, Dylan Bourke, Adrian Verhoeven, Joshua Sargent, and Thomas Cullinan as their best players.
