Harcourt have thundered home with their second win on the trot, taking a 184-point win over Campbells Creek.

It was on from the first siren at the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve on Saturday, with Harcourt slotting 9.4 to the home side’s 1.2 to sit 50 points in the lead after 20 minutes of play.
Harcourt continued their assault in the forward 50 in the second quarter but with much less accuracy, kicking five goals from 14 attempts.
The home side on the other hand, were able to find a single behind for the entirety of the second quarter, with the half time scores reading 9-97 in Harcourt’s favour.
Returning after the main break it was much the same for both sides, with Harcourt thumping through another seven goals while keeping Creek scoreless.
It was a similar final quarter for both sides and while Harcourt and Campbells Creek had more attempts at goal, Creek were only able to scrounge three behinds to see the Lions sit at 196 points at the siren.
Creek’s Joel Wootton was the lone goal scorer for the day, while James Martinovic, Kyle Gellatly, Mitchell Milne, Lachlan Hyland, Billie Dunne and Thomas Langley were named in the best for the home side.
There were nine players to kick a goal for Harcourt on the other hand, primarily Baxter Gurd with six, Cameron Anderson and Riely Thiesz, both with five, and Jed Rodda with four goals to his name.
The side’s best were Jack Threlfall, Rodda, Cameron Anderson, Mark Noonan, Thiesz and Gurd.
Harcourt will look to savour this victory heading into the Good Friday bye this weekend, while Creek will look to regather ahead of their round three clash with Maldon.
