Goldsborough man dies in house fire
Police will prepare a report for the coroner following a fatal house fire in Goldsborough last Friday.
Emergency services were called to a blaze at a home on Goldsborough Road, north of Dunolly on Friday, June 13 at about 9 am.
The alarm was raised after a neighbour noticed smoke billowing from the property.
Sadly the body of a man was found when the fire was extinguished.
The body is yet to be formally identified, however it is believed the deceased is the resident of the home, a 79-year-old man.
An arson chemist attended the scene and the investigation surrounding the circumstances remains ongoing.
At this early stage, however, the fire appears to be non-suspicious.
