The selection is Ginnivan’s second berth in the team, having previously made the 2022 team.

Ginnivan has continued to play his role excellently for a Hawks team who look set to make the finals, averaging 16.7 disposals per game, while also kicking 23 goals for the season.

The Hawks will earn a finals berth if they can defeat North Melbourne in Launceston on Saturday, which would mean that Ginnivan joins Maryborough local Kai Lohmann in the finals.

Brisbane’s Lohmann was also in the squad to be selected, but ultimately missed out on selection to the final lineup.
