A mobile skin cancer check unit is headed to Carisbrook this weekend.

Residents are being encouraged to stay on top of their health with free skin cancer checks this weekend.

Hosted by the Carisbrook Lions Club in a joint project with the Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation, residents can get skin checks by a trained dermoscopist who will check skin and lesions, and provide the client with a referral if further treatment is needed.

Lions V Districts Cancer Foundation aims to establish a mobile Skin Cancer Skin Check and Awareness Unit in Victoria and southern New South Wales with related skin check facilities provided by accredited trained professional dermoscopists and other appropriately qualified personnel.

The mobile skin check unit will be in Carisbrook this Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23 at Market Reserve on Green Street, Carisbrook.

Appointments take 20 minutes. To book contact Veronika Miles on 0407 306 576.
