Dunolly has moved into seventh position on the ladder after defeating Maryborough Rovers at Jubilee Oval on Saturday by 127 points.
Dunolly had the game in its keeping from the very start of the game kicking eight first quarter goals to one. But Rovers were competitive in the second quarter kicking truly four times, however the Eagles still had the game in its keeping at half time leading by 68 points at the main break.
It was a percentage boosting win for Dunolly that saw them move above Talbot on the ladder by four points and has boosted their chances of playing finals, although they do face Harcourt next Saturday as they try for their fifth win in succession.
Nine different goal scorers showed that the Eagles had plenty of scoring options inside 50 and it was Bailey & Mitch Goodwin kicking six goals apiece that led the scoring onslaught, with Joel Fisher and Xavier Ryan scoring four goals each.
Bailey Goodwin was named the best player for the Eagles, and others to play well were Luke Crowley, Mitch Goodwin, Josh Goodman, Fisher and Rhys Brown.
Rovers’ better players were Alex Mahony, Kaylab Eggers, Marshall Murray, Kieran Johns and Chris Scragg with Eggers, Mahony and Mitch Whelan all kicking two goals each.
