Dunolly’s charge towards a top four berth continued, taking a 97-point victory over Camp-bells Creek.

The Eagles were in top form defensively, conceding just one goal for the day to the Magpies, which did come after the Eagles had already put through three goals on the board.

Dunolly took an 18-point lead into the first break, but they were made to work for their opportunities in front of goal in the second term as the wet weather made its way back to Deledio Reserve.

Just two goals were scored in the second term as the Eagles led by 34 points at the main break.

It was the third quarter which saw Dunolly start to motor, and they kicked six goals to boost their percentage, making it a 72-point lead at the final change.

A further four goals in the final term meant that the Eagles were able to jump into fourth spot with two games remaining for them, and will reset going into their final bye of the home-and-away season.

Lloyd Needs was in the thick of everything for Dunolly, and finished up with five goals for the afternoon in his best return for the year.

Alongside him, Jake Gavriliadis was outstanding off half back, Adal Zuk provided plenty of run, and Zaiyden Richards, Jay McDomnald and Michael Sjaardema were also named in the best.

For Campbells Creek, Mitchell Spencer had his best game at senior level to finish as the Magpies’ best player, while Nicholas O’Brien continued his good form. Mitch Kerney, Jamie Benbow, Hadley Bassett and Harrison Barnes were also named in the best, while Dylan Stevens kicked their sole goal in the first term.
