Dunolly won another nail-biter at Deledio Reserve on Saturday when they defeated Royal Park by five points.

It was a battle of the spearheads in what was a high-scoring clash, with the Eagles’ Joel Fisher scoring 10 of their 15 goals, while at the other end, Jacob Rollason was also among the goalkicking act, booting seven of Royal Park’s 14 goals.

After an even opening term, the Eagles appeared to get on top of the Tigers to lead by 12 points at half time, but the Tigers fought back to lead by seven at the final change.

The lead changed hands a couple more times in the final quarter before the Tigers kicked out to a two-goal lead. Fisher kicked the final three goals of the game to give the local crowd another exciting match-winning experience.

Dunolly have now won three of their games this season by under a kick and another by nine points, providing some heartstopping games.

The Eagles’ best players were Fisher, Bailey Goodwin, Ben McKinley, Oscar Keogh, and Xavier Ryan, while Royal Park were well served by Rollason, Brad Reeves, Lauchlan Woodward, Tarkyn Balzan and Rhys Wagstaff.
