Dunolly jumped into the top eight thanks to a 21-goal victory over Talbot.

Despite sitting in 13th at the beginning of the round, the tight nature of the competition at present meant that the Eagles were able to vault up the table.

It was a tight affair to start with, with the Eagles taking a slender two-goal lead thanks to their 10 goals, while the Hawks scored eight.

But it was the second quarter which saw the Eagles take charge, scoring 17 goals to the Hawks’ five to lead by 14 goals at the main break.

Any hopes of Talbot fighting back were snuffed out when the Eagles added a further 10 goals to six, as they extended their lead to 18 by the last break.

While Talbot had their most productive quarter of the afternoon, scoring 11 goals, Dunolly added another 14 to eventually record a comfortable win.

Zoe Aldridge led all-comers on the court with 29 goals, while Dom Roche scored 23 for Talbot.
