One of the vehicles involved in yesterday’s collision suffered substantial damage to its front bumper.

Central Goldfields Highway Patrol attended a two vehicle collision near the intersection of Napier Street and Derby Road yesterday morning.

Police were called to the low-speed collision at around 8.30 am, which caused moderate damage to both vehicles involved. Neither drivers had passengers and were both uninjured by the incident.

Central Goldfields Highway Patrol Constable Ryan Watson said the crash is still being investigated by police and urged drivers to give way on the roads.

“A collision has occurred apparently because of the signs obscuring vision, that is yet to be proven,” he said.

“Drivers need to be aware of their surroundings, always give way to other vehicles and monitor your speed.

“It is still up to the user to give way even if your vision is mildly obscured.”
