Deadly Catch-up planned
Maryborough District Health Service (MDHS) and Mill House are inviting First Nations community members to come and have a yarn about local health services.
Drop in for a Deadly Catch-up at Mill House between 10 am and 12 noon on Monday, September 30 for a chance to meet MDHS Aboriginal Hospital Liaison Officers.
Tonya Fedel and Kymberley Williams are dedicated to helping First Nations families and individuals navigate the health system.
They can help families and individuals access local services and make informed decisions along their health journey.
This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, learn about available supports and connect with other services while enjoying a cuppa.
“We want to create a space where families feel at home, connected, and informed about the services available,” Ms Fedel said.
The health service previously ran some Deadly Catch-ups in partner-ship with The Nest, which is a welcoming and inclusive space.
“This month we’re looking forward to having a yarn at Mill House which also provides a culturally safe and inviting environ-ment,” Ms Fedel said.
The team look forward to wel-coming everyone and building strong connections within the com-munity.
“We’re here to create a welcoming space for families to feel supported and informed,” Ms Fedel said.
“Everyone is invited to join us and take part in this important con-versation.”
