Pyrenees Shire councillor David Clark has been re-elected as president of the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) for 2023.

MAV is the peak body for Victoria’s 79 councils, promoting and advocating for local government, supporting councillors and providing strategic and policy advice to help councils be more effective.

Elections take place every two years with the president elected by a vote of all members.

“On behalf of Pyrenees Shire Council I would like to congratulate Cr Clark on his re-election in this important role,” Pyrenees Shire Council mayor Ron Eason said.

“Councils around Victoria rely on the MAV for guidance and support, and Cr Clark’s contribution is appreciated throughout Victoria as well as here at the Pyrenees.”
