Creek overwhelmed by Harcourt’s 35-goal onslaught
Twelve individual goal-kickers catapulted Harcourt to their largest victory in over three years, defeating a depleted Campbells Creek by 215 points.

Lions player-coach Cameron Anderson capped off a record-breaking day with seven goals, his highest individual goal-scoring tally since starting his Harcourt career back in 2021.
Star forward Jed Rodda and midfield maestro Jack Threlfall also kicked six goals each in a remarkable Harcourt performance that began with a 12-goal opening term.
Despite the welcome return of James Haber and the defensive efforts of Tyson Williams and Mitchell Stevens, the Magpies were powerless to stop the Lions’ rampant attack, already trailing by 73 points at quarter time.
Braydon Vaz continued his sensational run of form in 2026 on Saturday, creating endless scoring opportunities for the Lions with his deadly speed and pinpoint disposal use.
Threlfall, Nathan Anderson and Thomas Walters were also enjoying the large dimensions of Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve, working their way into acres of space to help extend Harcourt’s lead to 135 points at half time.
Despite their hefty deficit, the Magpies remained combative throughout the difficult day at the office.
James Martinovic was working around the clock in the ruck while the efforts of Haber, Dylan Stevens and Isaac Fletcher ensured Daniel Klimeck and Justin Garipoli gave the home fans something to cheer about with their pair of majors.
However, Harcourt remained ruthless in the second half, booting 10 goals in the third quarter on their way to completing a heavy trashing.
After his outstanding three-goal performance, Vaz was an easy selection for Harcourt’s best players, named alongside Threlfall, Cameron Anderson, Jed Rodda, Thomas Walters and Nathan Anderson, who finished with five goals.
Haber, Williams, Martinovic, Klimeck, Fletcher and Dylan Stevens were listed as the standout performers for Campbells Creek.
