Former local massage therapist pleads not guilty

A former Maryborough massage therapist has indicated he will plead not guilty to charges of rape and sexual assault. 

Michael Allwood is facing eight charges of unwanted touching and penetration which allegedly occurred between January and June last year. 

The 64-year-old appeared before the Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday where he indicated he would plead not guilty to the charges. 

Mr Allwood is due to appear before the Melbourne County Court on August 9 and his bail was extended until that date.
