A local business and community group have given back to the Maryborough SES unit following their hard work protecting the community during recent flooding.
Park Hotel owner Lachy Neale presented a cheque for $800 to Maryborough SES unit controller Darren Cooper this week. The local pub ran its weekly raffle on behalf of the SES, raising $400 and doubling it out of their own pockets.
This donation, along with others including a $500 cheque from the Maryborough Craft Shop, will go towards the unit purchasing a thermal imaging camera.
