The R707 Operations Grainlander Steam and Diesel Hauled heritage locomotive made a brief but memorable stop in Maryborough on Sunday, May 26 as part of its return journey from exploring the spectacular Mallee region of Victoria.
The much-loved train was greeted by a crowd of visitors and residents, including Lowen Clarke from The Mill House, who’d dressed as Mark Twain for the day.
Those on the train spent about forty minutes exploring Maryborough’s heritage train station before departing to return to Melbourne via Ballarat.
