After 18 months of closure, the upgraded Central Goldfields Art Gallery was opened over the weekend by mayor Grace La Vella, with a special ceremony on Friday night followed by a whole-day event for the community on Saturday.
Residents got to enjoy the $2 million renovations which have transformed the gallery, while admiring the opening exhibition Ladder to the Stars: Dean Bowen Sculptures and the annual Community Art Exhibition.
