Timor Primary School students Nate and Brayden enjoyed the visit from author and photographer Tracey Kruger as part of Book Week celebrations.
Tracey, who hails from Hamilton, initially published Shearing in Victoria’s Western District, a photographic record of 160 woolsheds at shearing time.
She then ventured into children’s books and has published a variety of information and story books featuring photos of her family pets, farm machinery and farm animals.
Her most recent books are a series of chapter books for upper primary school students titled The Farmer Twins, with the theme of life on a farm.
Tracey spoke to the students explaining the process she took in the publication of her books and read her book, Lambert Wants A Jumper to them.
Book Week runs from August 19-25 Australia-wide, celebrating local authors and encouraging kids to pick up a book and participate in activities at schools and libraries.
