Community News: Art Talk
Residents were treated to a presentation exploring the adventures of Lola Montez at the Central Goldfields Art Gallery on Wednesday.
An Irish born dancer, Lola Montez gained great political power and heavy notoriety, including in the Central Goldfields in February 1856. Wednesday’s art talk was presented by Federation University senior history lecturer Dr David Waldron, with around 30 people attending.
