As Santa oversees the final presents being prepared for the big night next week, Maryborough locals can take a load off the big man’s task and find their last minute gifts locally.

Numerous businesses throughout Maryborough will be participating in this Saturday’s Christmas Shopping event, encouraging residents to support the region’s shops and jobs, and “give the gift of local”.

Linda Parry from Rinaldi’s said there are a range of Maryborough stores participating, with the merry man taking time out of his very busy schedule to see the deals for himself.

“There are a lot of businesses participating, the shops will be having their own discounts, so have a look online or on social media to see if they’re joining,” Ms Parry said.

“Santa will be there from 9 am, and people can have free family photos from 10 am.”

Locals are advised to bring their own cameras when they meet Santa in front of Maryborough Library from 10 am to 1 pm this Saturday, December 20.
