Championship Day for local little athletics
The Maryborough Little Athletics Club hosted their Championship Day last Sunday, with a strong crowd of aspiring athletes participating.
Local athletes ran, jumped and threw their way around the various events at Jack Pascoe Reserve to strong results across the board.
With the championships marking the club’s season finale, the Maryborough Little Athletics Club celebrated the achievements of the participants throughout the 2025/26 season with an award presentation.
Under seven standout Audrey Steen was presented the Girls Overall Star Award, while under nine athlete William Goodman won the Boys Overall Star Award.
The club also handed out age group awards, the winners are as follows:
Under Six — Girls: Audrey Fletcher, Boys: Frederick Weir.
Under Seven — Girls: Audrey Steen, Boys: Felix Wilson.
Under Eight — Girls: Sadie Wilson, Boys: Hunter Ansell, Thomas Bannan and Dusty Steen.
Under Nine — Girls: Rhani Trotman, Boys: William Goodman.
Under 10 — Girls: Reagan Dell, Boys: Max Brasser.
Under 11 — Girls: Stevie Cooke, Boys: Rhiley Trotman.
Under 12 — Girls: Tahlee Featherston, Boys: Xavier Brasser.
Under 13 — Girls: Cobi Kaye, Boys: Flynn Alexander.
Under 14 — Girls: Olivia Hockley, Boys: Harry Mason.
Under 15 — Girls: Jay Blievers Boys: Brandon Meyers.
The Maryborough Little Athletics Club will be hosting the first event of their cross country season on Friday, April 24 at Jack Pascoe Reserve.
