Carisbrook remain undefeated, winning second game
Carisbrook remain undefeated after two rounds as they defeated Newstead at the home of the Redbacks by 48 points.
It was a comfortable victory led by a four goal performance from ruckman Brady Neil. And three goals from Tim Rinaldi.
The Redbacks have also been bolstered by the return of Lewis Rinaldi after a season at BFL club Ballarat and from the Nightcliff club in the Northern Territory League.
Carisbrook were too good from the opening Bounce but the Steaders were competitive in the second quarter, but the Redbacks controlled play for the majority of the game.
Lewis Rinaldi and Brady Neill were named as the better players for Carisbrook as were Mitch Treacy, Tim Rinaldi, Anden Lever, and captain, Nick Wright who is back to full health after a serious injury.
Angus Mayes Geordie McMurtrie and Devin Gordois played well for Newstead as did bailey McMurtrie, Brad Richardson and Jovian Goulton had a good game in the ruck. Ben Moran was the only multiple goal scorer with two goals.
