After a strong performance against East Point in round nine, the Lady Redbacks were galvanized to progress from their 163-point loss to the Lions in round three.

The Lady Redbacks were highly energetic in the first quarter, applying unrelenting pressure on Redan which forced many kicks on goal to go wayward. The Lions kicked 3.6 in the term to lead by 24 points at quarter time.

Keen to keep pace at the top of the BFLW ladder, the hosts asserted control in the second quarter, having 13 scoring shots.

Credit to the Carisbrook defence, they were tireless in their efforts to stop the Redan attack, holding the deficit to 67 points at half time.

Not to be disheartened, the Lady Redbacks were highly competitive to start the second half, keeping the Lions to four goals in the third quarter.

Even with their 94-point advantage heading into the final quarter, the Lions didn’t slow down, booting 41 unanswered points in the last term, finishing on 19.21.(135) while keeping the Lady Redbacks scoreless.

Sarah Lynch and Danae Every sustained their sparkling form for the Lady Redbacks, as they were once again named among the best players alongside Remi Jardine and Maddison Smith.

After a week off over the King’s Birthday Weekend, the Lady Redbacks return to action with their third consecutive road trip, travelling to Soldiers Hill to take on Lake Wendouree.

The Lady Redbacks impressed in their last meeting with the Lakers in round six, holding their own in a 25-point defeat with goals from Jade Cameron and Olivia Butler.
