Carisbrook will celebrate the official opening of their new club rooms on Saturday afternoon when the Redbacks host Royal Park.
The Redbacks have been able to use their new club rooms from late May this year, but will now get the opportunity to celebrate an official opening with the community.
Members and invited guests from the Carisbrook Football Netball Club, Carisbrook Cricket Club and Carisbrook Bowling Club will be in attendance, as will local and state government members to open the rooms, joined by members of the community who are all welcome to attend.
Carisbrook FNC president Phil Hooper says the clubrooms will provide sustainable change rooms for years to come.
“It will be really good for all user bodies at the Carisbrook Recreation Reserve, who’ll use these facilities for decades to come,” he said.
“A particular benefit will be for female footballers and netballers going forward, with far more modernised and functional facilities for not just our home teams, but also the visiting teams.
“Opposition teams and their players will also benefit from the use of the new facilities that relate to each user body.
“The concept of these facilities have been years in the making, and it’s fantastic that it has come to fruition.”
The new rooms are one part of the Carisbrook Recreation Reserve master plan, with the new netball court also set to open in the near future, as well as the bowling club precinct set to host its first game on October 3.
The launch of the Carisbrook rooms will happen from 12- 12.30 pm.
