Royal Park inched closer to the top four with a strong 27-goal victory over Campbells Creek.

The win moved Royal Park up to sixth position on the ladder at Lexton’s expense, while Campbells Creek now look to be in desperate trouble, having dropped their past five games to drop down to 11th.

Bushy made a strong start, scoring 15 goals to eight to open up an early seven-goal lead.

Campbells Creek enjoyed their best quarter of the day in the second stanza, scoring nine goals, but it wasn’t enough to cut in to the margin, with Royal Park adding another 12 to move 10 goals clear at the main break.

Royal Park made a big move in the third quarter, scoring 16 goals to eight to essentially seal the game, taking an 18-goal lead into the final change.

The Tigers finished full of running, adding another 16 goals to seven in the last quarter to finish 27-goal winners.

Abbey Devereaux took control in the Tigers’ goal ring, scoring 39 goals, while Laura Johnston added 20.

Campbells Creek were well-served by Jordan Bagley, who scored 18 goals, while Lillie Wrigley scored 14.
