Held at the Lar Birpa Athletics Complex in Bendigo, the event aims to showcase what country Victoria athletics has to offer with age groups competing from under 14 up to 60 plus.

Representing South Bendigo, Charlie Sullivan was a man on a mission on the second day of competition.

First, he claimed gold in the Male Under 16 100 metres with a blistering time of 11.87, followed by another gold in the Shot Put for his second throw of 9.18 m.

That wasn’t the only silverware Sullivan would pick up, coming second in the 200 m with a time of 24.68.

Sullivan also competed in the 4x100 m and 400 m events where he finished fourth and eighth respectively.

Not to be outdone, Naomi Henderson also hit the ground running on day two of the competition for Eaglehawk.

She won gold in the Female Under 18 Triple Jump for her final jump of 10.59 m.

She continued her success with a silver in the 4x100 m relay two hours later with a time of 55.91.

A night’s sleep didn’t stop her momentum either, winning bronze in the Long Jump with her two jumps of 4.80 m and grabbing another silver in the 100 m Hurdles with a time of 19.41 the next day.

Fresh off her appearance at the North Island Colgate Games, Mia Schodde grabbed another medal to her collection, getting bronze in the Female Under 16 High Jump after clearing 1.45 m on the first try.

She also claimed fifth in the 4x100 m final as part of the Wendouree team and eighth in the Long Jump.
