The Central Goldfields Shire Community Grants Program for 2024 is now open with $46,000 in funding available for local groups.
Grants from $500 to $3000 are available to community-based organisations looking for financial support to deliver activities, pro-grams, small events, equipment and infrastructure.
This year the fund again includes $5000 provided from the Climate Action Plan, for projects that address the impacts of climate change.
Central Goldfields Shire mayor Liesbeth Long said the Community Grant Program was a fantastic opportunity for local groups and organisations to seek funding to support community-led projects.
“Community groups and organisations are vital to our community, especially during these challenging economic times,” she said.
“We know how important it is to provide opportunities for them to deliver projects and events that will help uplift our community.”
Applications are now open and will close at 4 pm on Friday, July 26 2024.
If your group or organisation is interested in applying for a grant, call the council first to discuss your idea and check your eligibility before proceeding with your grant application.
