A reserve is set to return after a hiatus from last week’s cancellation of games.
Beaufort V Colts Phelans
Beaufort and Colts Phelans are scheduled to meet at Buangor Recreation Reserve, pending availability due to the nearby bushfire.
The Crows have emerged winners in their last two starts, but will be wary of a Colts Phelans team who needs to win if they are any chance of playing in the finals.
While Colts are still in the hunt, they will be in need of Natte Yallock losing their final two games to give themselves the best chance of making it.
Maryborough V Talbot
A top of the table clash sees Maryborough and Talbot meet at Princes Park.
The Owls will be looking to bounce back after losing to Natte Yallock in their last start, while the Yabbies, having moved to the top of the ladder thanks to their 80-run win over Clunes last week, can give themselves the best chance to seal top spot on the ladder with a win.
Should the Owls win, however, they could yet move to the top of the ladder.
Natte Yallock V Carisbrook
Natte Yallock’s finals chances hinge on this game against Carisbrook.
Should the Swans win, and Colts Phelans lose, the Swans will book their spot in the finals, but a loss, with a Colts win, will see them drop out of the four, given their inferior quotient.
Still, the Swans have showed they are a handful for every team in the league, with two wins and a loss over the last three weeks against the runaway top three in the competition.
Carisbrook are now out of finals contention, but will be hoping to finish their season on a high with an upset result.
Clunes V MKM
Pending the result of the Maryborough and Talbot game, Clunes could be the big beneficiary when they host MKM.
The Magpies will be warm favourites, and given their strong quotient, could yet move to the top of the ladder with a win and a Talbot loss.
But MKM haven’t been a pushover this season, despite sitting on the bottom of the ladder, and have been competitive in a number of their games.
