The netball grand finals have been run and won, with all seven games on Saturday being played in great spirits on the court.

In B grade, Natte Bealiba made it a day to remember by completing a sweep of the top two grades, taking a 13-goal victory over Carisbrook.

The Swans utilised their first and third quarters to take victory, outscoring the Redbacks by four goals in the first quarter, before their third quarter blitz saw the Swans pile on 13 goals to five.

Twenty goals from Jess White saw her earn the best on court medal on a day where she was also able to earn honours as part of the A grade premiership winning Swans team.

Despite missing out on the A grade premiership, Avoca ensured they wouldn’t go without silverware in 2022 when their C grade team took the premiership, defeating Harcourt 36-30.

The Bulldogs were able to increase their lead throughout the first three quarters, taking a nine-goal lead into three-quarter-time, and despite conceding 10 goals to seven in the last quarter, were able to soak up the premiership.

Ellie Meagher had a great battle with prolific goalscorer Suzie Rinaldi, and was rewarded with the best on court medal in that game.

In the closest game of the day, Maldon was able to deny Maryborough Rovers by two goals in what was a difficult game for scoring, winning 17-15.

The second quarter was crucial for the Dons, scoring four goals while holding Rovers scoreless.

The work of Claire Hamilton, who defended mightily against Rovers’ goalscoring power, earned her the best on court medal for her efforts.

Harcourt proved much too strong for Avoca in the 15 and under grand final, with the Lions winning 33-10 thanks to a fantastic defensive performance which saw them hold the Bulldogs to just five goals across the first three quarters.

Tegan McKay, who scored 23 goals for the Lions, was awarded the best on court medal.

In a tightly contested affair in the 13 and under grand final, Natte Bealiba held off a final quarter charge from Navarre to take a 24-21 victory.

The third quarter was the key determining factor for the Swans, outscoring the Hoppers seven goals to four to give themselves a five-goal break at the last change.

Chelsea Ross’ great game in goal defence helped her claim the best on court medal for her work.

And a fast-starting Carisbrook leveraged an eight-goal to one opening period to help them take the first premiership of the day in the 11 and under grand final, winning 24-14 over Royal Park.

The work of Amali Kerville, who scored seven goals in the final quarter to take her personal tally to 12, saw her awarded the medal for best on court.
