BREAKING: No active cases in Victoria for the first time nine months

There are no active COVID-19 cases in Victoria for the first time since February 21, as the state records its 25th consecutive day of zero new cases and zero deaths.

Premier Daniel Andrews confirmed the news in a media conference this morning.

"We're very pleased to be able to confirm today there are now zero active cases of coronavirus in our state," he said.

"The one remaining active case has now been cleared of the virus and discharged from hospital — that's great news for them and their family."

On Sunday, Victoria moved to the Last Step along the roadmap to COVID Normal restrictions.
