The Avoca FNC should have been celebrating the 40-year anniversary of its drought-breaking 1980 grand final this year, however, like almost everything it has been put off by COVID-19. Coach of the side Ron Deledio, pictured holding the cup, still speaks fondly of the early 80s clan which continued success in 1981 and hopes to meet with his old pals next year to celebrate the era that was.
