Woman airlifted in critical condition after Timor crash
1 min read

A Kangaroo Flat woman was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after suffering injuries to her head and spine following a single-vehicle collision in Timor on Monday.

Emergency services were called to Norwood Road, near the Longs Road intersection in Timor at around 12.30 pm on Monday afternoon.

The 54-year-old woman was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition and her condition remains unchanged.
Central Goldfields Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Andrew Henderson said the woman’s injuries were serious and urged drivers to be cautious on the road.

“She was airlifted with head and spinal injuries, it was very serious and they were very serious injuries,” he said.

“We haven’t determined the speed the vehicle was travelling at the time but it doesn’t appear that was the cause of the collision, it appears to just be inexperience driving on gravel roads.

“Drive to the road conditions and your abilities.”
