Go Goldfields is working towards developing a new strategic direction with the help of new acting manager Carolyn Bartholomeusz.
Ms Bartholomeusz is taking the reins from outgoing manager Sandra Hamilton who was in the role for three years and comes as Go Goldfields begins transitioning from focusing on four impact areas to one.
Set to lend her expertise over the next three months, Ms Bartholomeusz will assist in developing the next phase of Go Goldfields and said she’s looking forward to taking on the role.
“My background lends itself very well to the role in terms of having worked in State Government in regional development for quite some time,” she said.
“More recently I worked on a whole of government project around how to work better at a place level and how State Government can partner with communities.”
According to a statement from Go Goldfields, the organisation is moving in a new strategic direction, from four impact areas — children and families, youth, economic participation, and family safety — to one which focuses on children and families.
“In what is a natural evolution, Go Goldfields will refine its efforts to ensure every young child in the Central Goldfields Shire has all the opportunities they need to be happy, healthy and hungry for learning,” it read.
