Maryborough’s division one winner a mystery

Maryborough newsXpressʼ Stacie Solomano and Cheryle Forster are celebrating after one lucky local was named a division one winner in Saturdayʼs TattsLotto draw.

One lucky local has had a winning start to the week after scoring a $410,000 division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto Draw — they just don’t know it yet.

The elusive local holds one of the 12 division one winning entries from across the country in TattsLotto draw 4051, drawn on Saturday with a prize pool of $4.9 million.

TattsLotto officials have so far been unable to reach the local despite their entry being registered to a Tatts Card.

The winning entry was purchased at Maryborough’s own newsXpress and marks the 37th time division one winning tickets have been bought there.

Maryborough newsXpress’ Cheryle Forster said having another division one winner is a good thing for the town, particularly given the challenges caused by coronavirus.

“It’s just so good for the town and in these trying times it’s particularly amazing for someone to have won first division,” she said.

“We’ve had 37 division one winners now which is pretty special, the last one was in June 2017 and in the last two weeks we’ve had two division two winners which does happen quite often.
