Young cricketers to benefit from donation

Carisbrook Lions Club president Jefferson Hoober presents a much needed cheque to the Carisbrook Cricket Club for their junior programs.

The Carisbrook Lions Club has done its part to keep local kids in the sport of cricket.

Carisbrook Cricket Club’s Leigh Koop said the donation of $1000 to the junior cricket side and cricket blast team is a great example of what the Lions Club does for the community.

“This (donation) underpins what the Carisbrook Lions Club does for the community and encourages kids to be involved in sport,” he said.
