Maryborough got off to a run away start over Beaufort at the weekend, putting up 7/230 on day one.
The visiting Crows won the toss and elected to send Maryborough in first to set the tone for a tough match.
Ben Hoban held steady for the Owls, making 102 not out in by far his best batting performance of the season.
He and Sam Bartlett were responsible for most of Maryborough’s total with a 147-run opening partnership, cut short by Beaufort bowler Cam McLeod who claimed Bartlett (45).
Nick Hoban (17), Mitch McClure (21), Bradey Tranter (6), Jake Postle (9), Riley Kaye (2) and Ben Robertson (2) all partnered with Ben Hoban, but were claimed by the Crows for little score.
