Offender/s take off with cricket club’s till

The Newstead Cricket Club has been left out of pocket after their till was stolen last week.

The Newstead Cricket Club has been left out of pocket after a till containing around $800 was swiped from the club after training last week.

The incident occurred last Tuesday at around 7 pm and Castle- maine Police Senior Constable Sharon Langridge said it is unfortunate for the club.

“It wasn’t a break in, the till was sitting outside at the end of cricket training and someone has walked past and taken it,” she said.

“It contained funds for the cricket club which is unfortunate.”
