Locals urged to take part in Leading Excellence Maryborough

With the return of an elected council just a few months away, LEAD Loddon Murray’s Leading Excellence Maryborough is calling for locals to join its 2020 workshop series.

LEAD Loddon Murray, partnered with the Victorian Government, Committee for Maryborough, Central Goldfields Shire and Go Goldfields, offers a dynamic leadership development program for residents of the Central Goldfields Shire. Since its inception two years ago, 59 community leaders have graduated from the program.

In 2020, LEAD Loddon Murray is broadening the reach of Leading Excellence Maryborough, by allowing residents to attend all, or part of the upcoming workshops to encourage as many community members as possible to embrace the opportunity to learn skills, make new friends and build opportunities.

Residents who would like to make a difference in the community by taking on a leadership role in community groups, service clubs, sporting associations or serving on council will benefit from access to skills, experience and networks to support them in their roles.

Participants spend a range of program days together, exploring and seeking to understand local issues from the perspective of residents, community groups, business and industry in the Central Goldfields Shire.
