Art gallery launches jam-packed program

Coordinator Central Goldfields Art Gallery Kay Parkin and Central Goldfields Shire chief administrator Noel Harvey are encouraging community members to get their hands on this yearʼs gallery exhibition programme, jam-packed with quality artworks.

The Central Goldfields Art Gallery’s 2020 Exhibition Programme is hot off the press and jam-packed with “excellent” exhibitions, as visitor numbers to the gallery continue to climb.

Some 5000 locals and visitors to the region passed through the gallery’s doors throughout 2019 and coordinator Central Goldfields Art Gallery Kay Parkin said the increased visitation and support is “fabulous”.

“Last year we had about 5000 people come through the gallery which for a small regional gallery in a small-ish town is really fabulous,” she said.

“It’s really nice that we have locals visit and they’re regulars, so they come in for every exhibition which is great.”

“Thrilled” with the quality of exhibitions set to be on display this year, Ms Parkin said there’s sure to be something for everyone.

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the exhibitions this year and their diversity, they’re all excellent and of a high quality,” she said.
